Ghost from Nuremberg

"We must never forget that the record on which we judge these defendants today is the record on which history will judge us tomorrow,"

These were the words of Robert Jackson, the United States Chief Justice at the opening session to the Nuremberg Trials.

Set up by the Allies at the end of the Second World War, the International War Crimes tribunal tried 22 Nazi leaders, including the former foreign minister, Joachim von Ribbentrop. He was found guilty, based on the evidence meticulously recorded by the Nazi's

Interestingly Craig Murray has successufuly urged the Foreign Affairs Committee to request documents from the Foreign Office to support his evidence for the 'Human Rights Annual Report 2005'

Remember Craig Murray, he served as the United Kingdom's ambassador to Uzbekistan from 2002 until he was discharged in 2004. The reasons for his dismissal are far from clear. Some hold the view that it was his overt criticism of the British government's actions in dealing with the human rights situation in the Central Asian country.

Come on Jack, von Ribbentrop denied knowledge of German concentration camps but was found guilty at the Nuremberg War Crimes Trial. Go on, just drop Tony in it. You were only following orders, RIGHT!
